Types Of mass movement
The video below is a landslide tearing though a large hill taking down everything in its path without stopping.

Landslides- Landslides are one of the of the types of mass movement in erosion. Landslides are the most dangerous and destructive mass movement. Soil in a split second can build up massively quickly travel down a slope. But landslides contain only small amounts of rock.
Slump- In this type of mass movement massive rock and lots of soil travel down a slope. Unlike a landslide, the material in slumps travel in one large mass. |

Mud-flows- A mud-flow is the rapid downhill movement of a mixture of water, rock, and soil. Mud-flows mostly occur normally after heavy rain fall. Mud-flows are very dangerous and can happen without warning. Also an earthquake can trigger a mud-flow or a landslides.
Creep- A creep is a very slow downhill movement of rock and soil. Creeps can sometimes forms freezing and thawing of water in the cracks of the rocks under the surface. Creeps can tilt objects at different angles than what they were original. |
